Henry Turns 9!

We could hardly believe it that Henry's 9th birthday was upon us. How can that be? Three months later and I still can't get used to the idea that he is 9 and headed into 3rd grade this year. Oh, how the years have gone by so quickly.

Who can complain about a birthday when your stack of presents is that big? We celebrated on his actual day, a Wednesday this year, with a birthday lunch for family in our backyard. Nana, Mimi, Papa and Gigi were all able to come and enjoy the day. He opened lots of presents that day including his much-longer-for Nintendo DS.... something he has waited for for the last year. He was so excited.... the pictures show it all.

In addition to his family gathering, once school was out (about a week later) he had a small group of friends over to play and watch a movie. His two good buddies, Caleb and Zachary, stayed for a sleep-over in the backyard. What fun!
