Owen's Golf Debut
This past Saturday, Owen and I attended a Learn to Golf Clinic put on by Scottish Rite Hospital and the USGA. It was so much fun. Owen spent about an hour at each station: putting, chipping and driving. He really loved it. He told Eric at the end of the day "It was great! Dad, it was so quiet." It was a very peaceful and fun morning. The golf instruction was very good. There were also many volunteers there helping so that Owen had someone either working with him or at least encouraging him him almost the whole morning.
As a part of the clinic and because he is a patient of the hospital, he brought home a free set of starter clubs and a $250 scholarship towards golf lessons. If he decides to pursue golf and take lessons long term, the hospital will have custom clubs made for him because he is a "sitting player" and the angles on the different clubs need to be slightly different than for a typical set of clubs. Scottish Rite really knows how to take care of their patients!!
Enjoy the pictures of our smiley guy!
