Mother's Day

We spread our Mother's Day celebrations out over the whole weekend. When there are as many mothers around as we have around here, you almost have too! With the addition of Gigi and Nana into the area this year, there was just too much celebrating to do it all in one day. It was fun to celebrate and to be celebrated all weekend long.

Here are some pictures from a park outing we did with Mimi & Papa and Gigi on Saturday. We had such a nice picnic. We enjoyed watermelon (obviously the boys had more fun with the watermelon than the rest of us), fried chicken and potato salad. We brought bikes for the kids and they rode and enjoyed the nice weather while the rest of us relaxed in the shade or walked alongside of them as they biked. It was a wonderful day. We were thankful most especially to have Eric's grandma (Gigi) with us.... it was our first Mother's Day with her.

We spent Sunday in Tyler with Nana. That was fun too since she has not been around on Mother's Day for several years. We drove out after church and enjoyed an afternoon at her house playing in the woods and eating barbeque... and trying on hats.
